Museum Event

"The Yavapai Nation"

Raphael Bear, former President of the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation, will relate some highlights of the history of his tribe as well as present information on plans for future development of the reservation.  The 40-square mile reservation is now home to 600 community members, while another 300 live off reservation. The reservation is a small parcel of land that was formerly part of the ancestral territory of the once nomadic Yavapai people, who hunted and gathered food in a vast area of Arizona’s desert lowlands and mountainous Mogollon Rim country.

Held in the Fountain Hills Community Center, 13001 N La Montana Dr, this event begins  at 6pm, followed by dinner and our feature presentation.
